The average price for a gallon of regular gasoline has jumped 16 cents since last month. Today’s statewide average for a gallon of regular gasoline is $3.07. Triple-A Fuel analyst Don Redman says higher crude oil prices is raising the price at the pump…
“We’ve seen the price of crude which has been waffling between $77 – $79 a barrel for the past few weeks now up over $80 a barrel.”
Redman expects gas prices to continue to rise.
“We’re certainly looking at by the time we get to April averaging about $3.25 a gallon. I think by the time we get into late May into June we could be looking at prices ranging between $3.50 to $3.75 a gallon.”
If you’re planning on traveling over the Easter weekend, plan to budget around $3.15 for a gallon of regular gas. Redman says gas prices will keep rising into the summer as demand will also be up…
“I think by the time we get into summer we’ll be looking at a statewide average anywhere between $3.50 a gallon to $3.75 a gallon.”
