A bill that will ban all THC products from being sold or manufactured in Louisiana if signed into law by Governor Jeff Landy is pending final house passage.
Veterans Action Council member Tony Landry says the bill by Senator Pressley is dangerous.
“Its going to criminalize the 3% full spectrum CBD products with all the other beneficial cannabinoids.”
Landry says he feels Senator Pressley doesn’t understand the full benefits of Cannabis and how other states are embracing this industry.
“I don’t understand why Louisiana doesn’t see this as an opportunity for health. If they want to regulate the product fine, but by criminalizing them they are not going to stop the flow of the products.”
Landry has a message for lawmakers as they make their final decisions on this issue.
“Consider you know these products are already being regulated and that’s the safest place for them to be is under a regulated system. By criminalizing that its not going to make Louisiana citizens any safer.
