Grab your buckets and shovels!! Our beach is turning into a sandcastle kingdom!!
This will be a sandcastle building contest at our beach in the day use area.
When: Saturday, June 13th
Time: 9:30AM – 12PM
Judging begins at noon and award ceremony immediately following.
Where: Day Use Area Beach
Who: Category 1 = 12 yr olds and under
Category 2 = 13 yr olds and up
Category 3 = Fan Favorite
FREE to participate – regular day use fees apply

Rules :
1. Sandcastles/sculptures must consist of sand only except for wood, rocks, shells, etc. found on the beach the day of the contest and used as decoration only. NO GLASS OR METAL ALLOWED!
2. No permanent forms of any kind shall be incorporated in your structure.
3. Sand forms (flowerpots, milk cartons, buckets, etc) may be used only as forms.
4. Structures must be completed by NOON.
5. Sandcastles may not be dampened or sprayed with any solutions other than water. No sticky stuff!
Judging Criteria:
* Design – 40 points (originality of subjects and design)
* Detail – 40 points (originality of shape, lines and space)
*Neatness – 20 points (sharp details balanced proportions)
