Lieutenant Governor Billy Nungesser and the Louisiana Office of Tourism unveil their marketing campaign for out-of-state tourism. Nungesser says the campaign, which was unveiled during the Louisiana Travel Summit in New Orleans, is entitled “Every Moment Feeds Your Soul.”

“We’re highlighting all the great places in Louisiana for the solo traveler, couples, families and, of course, international visitors, as we welcome the world to Louisiana,” Nungesser said.

The marketing campaign will include a mixture of traditional media, as well as social media and influencers. Nungesser says the goal is to highlight the unique things in Louisiana that you don’t get to do anywhere else.

“Over 400 fairs and festivals; the unique food, the great seafood and all the great places to visit in the state,” Nungesser stated.

They also unveiled the theme and float for Louisiana’s entry in the Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, California, on New Year’s Day. The float is called “Bienvenue en Louisiana,” or “Welcome to Louisiana” when translated to English. It features a gigantic pelican surrounded by Mardi Gras colors and other Louisiana staples like alligators and crawfish. Louisiana’s prior entries have also included musical performances; Nungesser says this one will be no different.

“Robin Barnes, Songbird of New Orleans, will be performing live on national TV to get people excited about coming to Louisiana,” Nungesser noted.
